This article uses Census data to compare two different types of populations in local government areas (LGAs) - the population that usually lives in an LGA and the population that was there on Census Night in 2011.
This article provides an interesting picture of the LGAs which, for many reasons, attracted large numbers of visitors on Census Night and is useful to governments which provide services to residents and visitors in regions, as well as those interested in the population characteristics of regions of Australia.
